Memory drive at his finger tips

JerryJalava.jpgJerry Jalava lost a finger whilst driving a brand new motorcycle last July when he collided with a deer and skidded across the ground. His finger was damaged and had to be amputated.

He was given the idea for the handy memory device after Doctors at the Helsinki hospital joked that he should have a USB "finger drive" because he was a software developer.

Jerry removes the finger to plug in the 2GB memory stick which is hidden underneath the fingernail.

The techno-savvy Finn is already planning an upgrade, "I'm planning to use another prosthetic as a shell for the next version, which will have removable fingertip and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag," he commented.
